I signed up for Ebay (and Paypal) back in Oct to sell the motor & trans from the 52 Ford. Ebay now charges fees on the shipping costs of the item. It seems people were selling a item for $0.99 and then charging $25 for shipping so I can see reason for the change, but EBay's system won't let you list a item without freight being included. The motor didn't sell. One guy told me he didn't bid because he couldn't determine what the freight costs would be from Canada. So I decided I'd let it sit for a bit and then relist it. Meanwhile I had the door locks from the 52 and decided to list them. Three days into the auction I get a email that the auction has been canceled by Ebay and to contact them via a link in the email and they will phone me at my phone number I provided them when I registered. So I click on the link (after first checking my ebay account to see if the email was real or not) and about 5 minutes later my phone rings. It's a woman from Ebay who says because I'm new to Ebay they need to get to know me better. She re-asks me all the same questions that are on their registration forms and wants to know where the items I'm sell are right now. I told her they are out in the garage. She thanks me for the information and says my account will be reinstated in a few minutes and I can relist my items. So far I haven't bothered to use them again.
