OP I have you beat. If we're talking new POS cars I've had many in my hands from places I've lived overseas. I'm talking Chery QQ, Fiat Palio, Citron ? etc.
However nothing compares to the Chevrolet Celta in Brazil. Cough up 15k usd and it gets you the cheapest car with AC you can buy in Brazil. 1.0l engine, no PS, no power anything. If you're lucky you get a radio made by some local or Chinese mfg. that works occasionally. Early 90s flimsy plastic everything.
Need to use the wipers in a heavy downpour? They won't work.
Gas gauge says you have a 1/4 tank. Guess what? You just ran out of gas in Sao Paulo traffic during rush hour.
100 degree weather and need AC? Push the AC button and it falls into the dash. No AC for you buddy.
Other mfgs have low end cars at the same price point (ex. VW Gol) that are 10 times the car. GM building this car and putting their name on it turns me off GM for life. Will never buy a car from the General.
They even have a trim level on the Celta called "Life". This is from Wiki:
"The Chevrolet Celta has been rated as highly unsafe by Latin NCAP, scoring only one star for adult occupants and two stars for children.[1] Unfortunately, this is the safety standard of low-cost Brazilian cars"
