Last time you asked about this trailers were off the menu: What made you change your mind?
There are some really excellent trail trailers on the market, even some DIY kits that may fit the bill. The range of choices and tailoring to fit your needs is really excellent these days as more people who drive a perfectly capable SUV want to use it for it's intended purpose.
The Scamp is a great trailer but not made for much more than a fairly rough road.
I complete agree with the dry and warm issues, my ground tent days are over.
