I think this varies by airport. At my current airport, I have NEVER had water in my tanks (for the non-pilots, you have to check all tank sumps before flying during your pre-flight check). However, at my previous airport it was a fairly common occurrence, like once every 10 times. There is a confound with time however as the previous airport was about 10 years ago...not sure.
