I put all this into Haggerty's site and got an identical quote to what Progressive is charging me - but with lots of bonuses included (flat bedding, free roadside gas/battery service, parts coverage etc) plus they seem like genuine car people. Any downsides I'm not thinking of? I drive about 8k/year and said as much on their quote form.

Are you sure about the premium being the same? Remember, Haggerty quotes are for a one year policy whereas Progressive writes 6 month policies. The Haggerty premium for my 88 911 cab was less than 1/2 what I would have paid with Allsnake.
