I was digging through some old photos and came across this. It was my then brand new 1973 Super Bug. I paid $2,600 for it new. I drove it for one year and paid it off. Then I traded it in for my 1974 914 2.0. I got $2,200 on the trade in.
I wanted a white car but they did not have white on bugs back then. The beige was as close as I could get
I knew I was not going to own it for long.
I wanted Gulf Blue for my 914 but that was not an option for 914s. I had to settle for Olympia blue which is close.
