A killing dillemma...
Suppose the state of Texas is looking for more ways improve its state budget. With the cost of trials and appeals for a typical death penalty case approaching (sometimes exceeding) $1 million dollars, state legislators looked to African wildlife management practices to help defray these costs. With this in mind they are floating the idea of auctioning off the rights to kill death row inmates.
- Good idea or not?
- Would you pay for the opportunity?
- Would it matter to you if the inmate were tied up, or would you prefer it if they made it a bit more challenging, like arming him/her with a knife to defend against your weapon of choice?
