I know a guy that build or modify a durable and insane flashlight. He takes the host and mod high end off the shelves drop ins. there are sertain way to make them robust and durable. I have had a couple he made for me that I used sometimes for inspection of attics or crawlspaces. With these lights, I no longer crawl into them anymore. Money well spent.
