For me - the driver who bothers to stop and remove the wind-blown trash can(s) from the street and set them up by the owner's house and out of harm's way - then continues on his way...they are the heroes.
I stopped once when a property owners American flag had fallen down from his flag pole. It was lying on the ground.
Removed and folded it - and placed it on a table on his porch.
Carry a shovel with me - stop when I see an animal on the road and take it off so it won't get hit over and over and over by those who are rushing off somewhere.....and can't be bothered.
I try to do my part.
