I'm slowly getting back into target shooting and right now have all the rifles/pistols stored in the closet. It's less than ideal. Currently have three .22 rifles and four pistols and I don't plan on expanding the heard much larger. Maybe a shotgun or two. I'm thinking about getting a gun cabinet vs. a gun safe. It's just the wife and I on a daily basis but we do watch the grandchildren in our home quite often. The cabinet would be locked. So to display 5-6 rifles/shotguns and 4-5 pistols what are you guys using ? Did you buy or make ? Any suggestions on how to display the pistols ? On wooden dowels ? Ammo along with cleaning supplies would be kept in a bottom drawer of the cabinet. I'm going to a local gun show in a few hours will look around to see what's available there. I'm just looking for something simple it will not be the focal point of the room it's going into. Another question the room it will be going into is a finished room in our basement. The room has HVAC vents and has never been a problem for mold or moisture. Having said that any storage tips just to be safe ? I try to keep the guns clean and oiled. I do have the ability to make one but don't have a lot of free time but not ruling that out. Fire away
