Though I remember the good old days when a beautiful spoon display was prominent in many homes, I personally won't do that now. It's not that I can't replace 'em, and insurance would cover any losses but I just won't take a chance that they end up on "the street" if they went missing. I'm sure you've probably considered this, but had to throw it out there. I suggest a proper safe and safeguards...YMMV.
ps: Of course I'm ready if a bowl of soup suddenly appears, but most are out of sight and easy access from spoon swipers....
