Selling my Ducati......Maybe
So lately I been thinking about selling my Paul Smart. I have 9 bikes and have been thinking about selling off a couple and putting the cash toward another car which I really don't need.
The question is what do you guys think is the best way to sell it?
One of my friends says to put it completely back to stock and sell the extras separately. He thinks that more people would want it stock, it will sell quicker and if I sell the parts separate, could make more money. The exhaust and chip alone are worth over $1500.
I think that the mods on the bike are the typical Ducati mods, Termi pipe, belt covers and vented clutch and won't make that much difference. I also think that having the factory lowers on it makes it more desirable, of course I have all the original parts. The original exhaust only has a about 500 miles on it.
I also have a new in the box upper fairing that I bought years ago after my bike fell over onto a bookcase in the garage. It put a minor crack in the fairing about an inch long between the mirror and the windscreen. I put a piece of black tape on it when waiting for the new piece to show up, then decided to leave it on in case something really noticeable happened to it......that was about 6 years ago.
So, what do you guys think is the best way to sell it. The bike was purchased new at Pro Italia and they are very interested in consigning it, but I know I'm giving up some cash for their convenience
