Ok, I know this is a bit obscure, but does anyone know the details of the washer used to fasten the impact bumper shock/crush tube to the chassis? PET states that for 1977+ the part number is 900-025-099-02, but I ordered that part and it is simply a thick round washer. The original washers on my 77 (and I've seen on other cars) were large rectangular washers.
The picture below shows the difference. Was the part superseded at some point to be a conventional round washer. It seems the larger surface area of the original rectangular part would be an advantage in this application. But the later style is lighter

Does anyone know of a part number for the rectangular part?
