Then they list 69-73 model year with a slight flare at the lip.
Both photos appear to be the same with the exception of the flared lip on the 69-73 fender. I would like to retain the stock lip. Will they interchange? are the front light openings and lights different?
Where are the differences? I was thinking I could maybe use the early fenders and section the front light openings from the damaged ones I have on the car.

69-73 fenders are different than earlier fenders in ways other than the wheel lip. The opening for the turn signal lights and the horn grilles are different as well. Without seeing the two types offered, I can't comment on the quality.
You have a 72. I don't understand your desire to use early fenders and graft on late lips and light openings when the repro offers it already done.
