I took the PVC and cut it at an angle. Mostly for the first 3-5 inches under the garage floor there should be softer cement. I pushed the PVC in and rotated and then removed and emptied the sand. I kept repeating until I tunneled all the way to the wall. Took maybe 40 minutes total... It was surprisingly easy but I can't say that will be the same for everyone.
There is no quick disconnect that I am aware because there is hydraulic fluid in the lines and you would constantly add in a little air and would have to cycle the lift again. I think of it like my brakes. Imagine if we had a quick disconnect at the calipers. When we reattached it wouldn't as closed of a system as it was before. Then you would have to bleed the system and that would take time. Also, if you're going through this trouble you may as well spend the time so when it's done you are happy and no issues.
My .02 anyways. Hope this helped.
