Enjoy your Fram filters, use whatever you want... But I won't use any stuff I consider to be total crap...
Why compromise on something critical that isn't even expensive - just a little hard to source locally => plan ahead.
I have not actually used a Bosch filter for a while, last 5 changes have been Mann (bought a bunch) - so maybe Bosch filter quality has have dropped off (I see some reports of that) - however if you don't like Bosch as a brand - you are already in trouble - there's lot of it in a 928 - much of it in rather important places.
I always tear apart my old filters to see what is in them.. (thankfully so far nothing much) you can really tell the quality by how hard it is to rip a well used filter apart - especially once you have already broken into the can and removed the filter element.
