I did the 3D thing after owning the TV for about a year.
The panasonic glasses are pricey but it is pretty cool.
Finding kid friendly movies in 3d is not a huge problem.
Tried finding MIBIII locally and didn't have any luck in 3d.
It is kind of a fun event when you bring home a new movie in 3d.
