Subie power is also possible depending on cost/hassle. For now, I just want to get the stock motor sorted-out. Glad to hear about the 1987 improvements. Keep it coming!

The TDI is a good option. And making your engine stronger is an easy option. You can by new heads, etc. from Gowesty or tencentlife. Your best answers will come from the samba.
