I've had my 1983 sc coupe for over a year now and live in Missouri, so we get some pretty hot summers. It appears I'm in the minority here, but I fully intend to pull all components of my AC system, damn the resale value. I want easier access for working on my engine, better performance in all objective measures, and if it gets just too damn hot, I'll drive my 330i.
I mean, when we were all kids, we lusted for Porsches for their tear your face off performance and sexy image, not necessarily comfort. I'm sticking with that ideal.
