If there was a reasonably easy backdate solution for a 964, I'd consider going that route.
I was looking at the car carefully today, and I wouldn't even replace those bumpers. I already had scratches and dings... I think brand new bumpers would stifle me more than I'd like.
Once I see what the numbers look like, I'm apt to have the quarter and tub fixed by a pro, and buy some used splash shields, turn signals etc and put them on myself. I'd far rather put the extra $$ into some engine mods..
...or maybe a mild hotrodded engine. Then I could take the 3.6 from this car and put it in the SC... hmmmmmmmmmmm
