When I put mine back together from a clutch job, I had the coupler installed on the transaxle side (not bolted) and then while I rotated the rear wheel by hand (tranny in gear) the coupler would turn slightly and I simply pushed it forward until it finally slid onto the drive shaft. The bell housing was already bolted together so you can get to the coupling through the access hole.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
