Totally. I love the lushness of the south, all the green but I spent a summer in Tennessee once and I about died of drowning. I mean it feels like I am constantly walking through water and trying to breathe through it. Blech!
People make fun of us and our hot summers but seriously, we go from our air conditioned home to our air conditioned car and push a button to turn it on. No ice scraping. No shoveling snow. No piling on clothes and jackets. And we all live in our pools in the summer. I love all the BBQs and pool parties in the summer. And it is really only from May to about the beginning of September. The ratio of absolutely beautiful weather to hot weather that is ok to deal with can not be beat on my opinion. And after living in CA for three years, I like the cost of living on AZ better.
I will get off my AZ soapbox now.
