My engine# is: 6891286 (stamped on the engine: 930/83)

is a 930 turbo transmission and it is a 4 speed which sounds correct. I will have to look and see what the serial number is.
6891286 is a MY79 US/Cdn, 3.3L, 930, model 930/64

In all likelyhood you have a car that was converted in a shop in the US, it was very common in those days.

The first regular production turbo cabs came in 1987 and would have a g50 5 speed, instead of the older 4 speeds
