Stir-fried rice

Thought I'd start a thread on my Mitsubishi Evo. I mentioned a while back in some other thread that this car had fallen into my life, it was kind of an unplanned pregnancy in that I've never known that I wanted one but here we are.

It's a 2006 Evolution IX MR edition which is quite a desirable model in Evo land. It has Aluminum fenders/hood/roof and trunk lid, plus a 6-speed and big Brembo brakes and a lot of other nice parts. It was bought new by a buddy who modded the living snot out of it but never really drove it much, (16k miles), I was helping him remove all of the aftermarket parts to return it to stock to sell and kind of fell for the thing. He made me an offer I could not refuse to buy it as-is and finish the assembly required to re-install all of the stock components.

When I say that it was heavily modified, I mean everything was changed. Different turbo/intake/TB/cams/valve springs/intercooler/radiator/fenders/lights/seats/wheels and much more that I cannot even recall. The interior and all unnecessary parts were removed for weight, (these cars are fairly heavy), and all stock parts were shrink-wrapped and put on the shelf. It had Japanese OEM lights and bumpers, wider factory front fenders, a CF trunk lid, CF drive shaft, every Japanese part imaginable and featherweight w/ ~500 hp. It was a rocket.

But never really driven much. The PO is a big MC track guy and not really all that into cars, likes building them more than driving them, I think.

Soooo...I'm in the final stages of assembling what will once again be a (mostly) stock '06 Evo with 16k miles. The interior was all in plastic on the shelf and basically new. There are a few aftermarket parts still on it like Quaife diffs, a heads-up display and brake rotors, maybe a few other small things. I am also leaving the Japanese OEM rear bumper on because it looks so much better than the U.S.A. one, but I have both.

I've heard these cars are fun, really anxious to drive it. I need to switch cams and intake back to stock, get ECU reflashed to stock and get it smogged. Here are some pics.
