Longhood resto candidate

I'm starting to get the impression that any longhood restoration candidate is a good bet at 10k.

Before I purchased my 3.2 G50 coupe, I was really after a specific longhood that I know to be locked away in a garage somewhere in Canada. It was parked about 8 years ago and left. Boxes were piled on it, raccoons piled in it, and the air left the tires, which are wrapped around steelies.

From what I could see through the garage window, and gather from the neighbours, it's a '69t. White, largely unmolested and apparently has a donor brother somewhere up north that could come with it if I end up making this move. I have a good feeling I could get the two for under 10k. Problem is, I'm not in a position financially to restore it as yet, though I feel like it could be a good bet to re-store it in my own shop or garage (once I buy a house with a garage).

I know we shouldn't look at 911's or cars at all as investments, but, I feel like owning a longhood will be as hard to do as owning a Dino 246 in the coming years.

What do you guys think, deposit ten grand worth of longhood into the bank? Worst case scenario, I get at least ten out of it if I need to sell for any multitude of reasons.

Always enjoying the marketplace discussions,

Marc

Also - I took some pics of it when I was allowed in the garage, but as the car is not mine, I'm not sure if it's cool to post them. Is it?
