I hear ya, man.
I was working on one of the 412 helicopters last week and thinking what an awesome piece of machinery it is.
I mentioned to the mechanic that was working with me, that I have some good Huey videos on my computer that I would share with him. He replied, "I don't give a f**k about them. I just work on them. It's a job, not a passion."
I was absolutely dumbstruck. I have never viewed aviation as "just a job". It's always been a passion. I asked him why he has stayed with it so long (over 20 years) and his reply was, "it's all I know how to do".
