There is a lot of territory to cover for "nice" watches under $1500. To my tastes I would be looking at a Seiko Tuna, a Khaki king auto, or a Sinn 656 Fleiger or 756 drupal but I am not you.
Why dont you tell us:
Do you care about mechanical vs quartz?
Are you looking for new only, or would used be an option?
I assume this is a "wear it every single day" watch?
What kind of features do you want? Date? 2 time zones? Tachymeter? Alarm?
What general style floats your boat, dressyish watches like the DeVille above? Diver watches like the U1? Tool/pilot watches like the hamilton khaki?
