Sinns are great, but U1 is huge and heavy, and not everyones cup o' tea. Had one briefly. Rather wear a mech Seiko diver.
OP - you will get a very nice watch for >1500, Timezone.com is great place to buy and sell in the USA. Vintage- Omega, IWC, Zenith, Rolex, Le Coultre- worth looking often very under valued because of the lack of bling.
