This is my Grandfathers S&W, it's a 1954-55, Highway Patrolman 4" .357, before it became a model 28. It's pretty rough but I'm really happy to now have it in my S&W collection.
Back in the 70's, my Grand Father would call this .357 his "Symboniese" gun, that was when Patty Hurst and her SLA buddies were at large in No. Cal.
