JP is right about the fuel injection system. No transporters came with D-Jet injection. Early ones, in fact everything under 2.0 had carbs. Even the Vanagon used the L jet when it was introduced in 81. Don't waste your time with the L jet. Get your D jet fixed. I am sure you will be happier with it in the long run. Just my opinion.
