Well, I used to have a lot of rare parts from the ST and RSR era. I was going to use them to build a replica, which wouldn't have had near the value of an original. My conclusion was that those parts were better used on a real car, than mine, as they wouldn't have added that much value to my car, in comparison to what I could get by selling them.

Your car has some intersting history but it isn't a factory race car. It's also going to be substantially changed from when it was modified by Brumos. So, in effect, you are building your idea of a hot rod 911, somewhat like what they did for someone else, umpteen years ago. I'm not sure the trade-off in value is worth what you might get for some of these parts. I haven't any idea of the value of that case but I'd expect it to be significant, if my parts sales were any indication.

It's not an easy decision, but in my case it made no sense to use the rare parts.
