I retrofitted my 01S with a deactivation bar because the family dog often rides in the passenger seat.
I bought a used bar from a dismantler, who also supplied the needed buckle. I sewed 12" strand of a red seat belt material to the buckle. When an adult rides in the seat, I simply unclip the buckle from the bar. An independent shop programmed the control unit to recognize the presence of a child seat.
