Well the whole family. Some may know my daughter has C.F. and is in the hospital again. On my way up to her room yesterday, Kenny, a young black boy in a wheel chair tells me he got a T shirt signed by Garth Brooks, Says he is a huge fan and he just got to meet Garth. He also said Garth was leaving the hospital. I thought that was cool.
I make it up to my daughters room and tell her about Garth. She says, DAD I would love to see Garth. What can you do? I say OK and start out looking for Garth. Kenny mentioned what part oh the hospital he was in and I head that way. I see several Security Officers and a sweet lady standing by a closed door. The lady ask if I needed anything and I said My daughter would love to see Garth. She tells me Garth is in a meeting and when he gets out he planned on making a few visits. She ask for my daughters room # and name, saying they will try to see her.
I make it to our room and tell her he might stop by.
Less than 1 hour later Garth is outside room 5413 putting on a gown and gloves. My daughter is so happy to see him. Mr Brooks stayed with my daughter for 40 minutes. We talked about everything under the sun. My daughter is being hooked up with back stage passes to any show she wants to see at Billy Bobs Texas.
Garth tells us about Kenny, states he is a cowboy and loves to ride horses and is really into Country music. I hope to meet Kenny again some day.
