When Porsche built the cars they went down the paint line assembled. Wings bolted on with the undercoating applied over the joining seams.
The undercoat got a light coat of paint just to cover in high visibility areas.
In your case I would install the wings and then either spray more undercoat over the seam or go the brushable seam sealer route.
You will have to apply more colour over that area.
Kind of chasing your tail I know...
Don't forget the dum-dum strip caulk that goes between the wings and the tub.
