Don't listen to him. Low-mile early water-cooled VWs are hard to find. They are harder to find in good shape. A rare one like this is almost unique.
OK, they don't have much value in the broader market. But for someone who wanted a Scirocco, and wanted a good one, this car would be
THE CAR.
I will tell you right now: I bought a MKI Scirocco with 161k miles on the clock, drove the crap out of it for 15 years, and sold it for almost as much as I bought it for with 330k miles on it. I loved that car to death. I would buy this Calloway Scirocco in a second if you didn't want it. I'd push you down and stomp on your head, in fact.
