I did not want to mess with my compression tester to try the balloon inflating method to agree compression stroke, so this worked. Have her now correctly adjusted.
Emagine opening all four valve covers and not finding a broken head stud, and while you are sitting there one snaps in the middle. Inspecting the broken end it shows sign of an old fracture that had rusted through part of the bolt. She wants me to spend more money. I actually purchased Valve guides but decided to stop at the valve adjustment and call it a day, but it looks like she wants a complete rebuild.
