Well, on a 968 that same little sticker found on the maintenance book with the option codes is stuck to the rear trunk floor or tail panel. I would think there would be one stuck to the floor of a 996 somewhere. You can always go to the dealer with your VIN and they can pull up a profile sheet of all the option codes on your car.
