I will go against the majority and say buy the Hawk. It will make a great "starter" bike and one that clean will hold its value when you go to sell.
I would get new tires, flush the rbake system, oil change, get it running and just ride it. That bike will have plenty of go.
I am a sucker for classic Hondas (see sig).
