OK, then something else I don't understand, Amir: If these two young men were able to leave Iran with Iranian passports, why wouldn't they be able to continue their travels to their intended destinations without using stolen passports?
I know plenty or Iranians (Persians) who emigrated legally. I also have known others who came to America under work, study, or travel visas and then just never left. I understand that Iranians can't travel directly to at least the US because the two countries have no formal diplomatic relations, but there are roundabout legal ways to get just about anywhere in the world, no?
Why introduce the additianal risk of fake passports? These guys aren't going to be "legal" anywhere regardless of the passport they flash.
