So, I got a letter in the mail...
FROM a guy contacting me about my old 79 Porsche 924....Weird.
Apparently the car has been sitting in a corvette shop (Cooper corvettes) in Triangle VA for a little over a year. It is just a roller, no drivetrain at all. It has accumulated almost $4k in storage fees and other work. The owner went bankrupt and bailed on his projects I believe the corvette shop was to work on.
Oddly enough, I was contacted because I was the last person to have the car registered and titled. The owner is no where to be found. I sold the car right before thanksgiving 2007.
I'd love to have the car back but its quite a haul from where I live and I really don't want to spend anywhere near what this shop wants to release the car. Sadly, I think this old girl may have met her maker in the scrap yard in the sky. Her spirit may live on though because the where abouts of the engine is unknown.
I am supposed to receive some pics of her in the current (disassembled) state...
If anyone lives near there and want to help her out maybe you'll have better luck than I may have.
