Urban areas give me anxiety. Might fall into an open manhole, broken storm drain, or a sinkhole caused by a hundred year old water main that busted last week. I might get hit by a car, a box truck, a bus, a thief, panhandler, a flower pot from a 100th floor window, a lead projectile, or I could have my pockets picked without my knowing it, have my car stolen, burglarized, vandalized, or towed for parking in the wrong place if I could even find any place to park.

At least being scared in the woods is simpler than being scared in the city. You're not the target of as many adversaries.
