This is my 1980 SC. Pushing over 280,000 miles and it's a daily driver. I like how reliable it is. It does require maintenance and things do break, but it really is dependable enough to be driven every day. I love the agile steering, road holding ability, generous brakes... It simply drives well.
And the sound... addicting.
The engineering and build standards were so high on these cars that they hold up to a lot of use and abuse and can be rebuilt so easily. This forum is part of why I like the car so much - it's easy to fix stuff but the knowledge shared that helps you pull the job off is outstanding.
Set-up as a worn stock car, it doesn't run with the newer cars that have superior suspensions and more powerful motors, but it's from the early 80's, and there isn't another car from that period that I'd even consider driving instead - especially as a daily driver.
