My wife is from Gilroy, which is famous for their Garlic Festival (just over the hill). I've been to both years ago and both were fun. Dorky yes, but fun. It's up to the individual if you enjoy yourself or not. The Garlic Festival was more entertaining, but I like artichokes better.
