The 205/55-16s on the front of my car have rubbed in some more extreme occasions, 225 would be demanding trouble

if I used them on the front. 245/45-16 on the back is the target to match the diameter of the stock 225/50-16s.
The calculators are great for getting what diameter you should get for a given tire size, but double check the mfg data. Some brands deviate from the ideal fraction of aspect ratio based on width. The widths don't even end up the same for a specified number between tire models from a single manufacturer. The number of revs per mile also don't always come out the same for identical sizes; the design, construction and choice of flubber

affect what comes out of the mold.
