I love my Black car aesthetically -- but have a color theory that goes beyond taste, and I'm wondering if it holds any merit in others' experience. It's seldom mentioned in 'color' threads...
I've noticed that when driving through intersections, people tend to turn left in front of me more aggressively than when I'm in my more modern and larger car. I think people assume the car is further away and traveling slower than it is because the 911 is pretty small, and low, and painted a dark color...
I think the brighter colors (White/Silver/Red) provide a small profile car like the 911 a safety advantage when scooting around in traffic by making it easier for other motorists to judge true proximity and oncoming speed. As much as I love the look of my Black on Black SC, I sometimes wish it had a bright red and white stripe across the hood!
