My problem with NW Ohio is that it is not only "cold and gray", but it's also windy most of the Winter which makes the cold seem even colder ala wind chill. We have had 10 record lows this year in the -10 to -25 degree range....throw in a 20 mph breeze and alll of a sudden you have -25 to -40 degrees which is not comfortable.
I probably won't get the wife to move away from family, but I -TOLD- her that when retired, we WILL go somehwere warm during Jan and Feb.
