Yeah normally I much prefer stick too... But On the B8 S4 I've test driven the shifter was a tad rubbery, I mean not bad but nothing fantastic, and like I said that car's party trick is truly those 2 "bam-bam" upshifts from 0-35 at lighting speed all the while sounding like a UR quattro on a rally stage. I love it... You miss that with a stick since there is no need for the computer to cut the ignition and detonate the fuel ;-) But as much as I like this car, the day before CPO ends I'm trading it in. Either for another one if they improve the electric steering, or a used 997 (kids will be bigger then and can get to the back sat on their own)
Still those threads come up on Off topic regularly so I thought I'd put in a good word for that 3.0 supercharged V6, it's truly a beast coupled with Quattro !
