Today I rotated the engine a few times to prevent the rings from sticking to the cylinder walls since my car will be stationary for a while.
I also got my flywheel off so I can get it resurfaced.
A month or two ago I did these things:
I removed the front brakes, control arms, and sway bar so I can replace the ball joints, all the rubber bits, put on new tire rod ends, new struts/springs, and paint the control arms/dust shields.
These shocks definitely need to be replaced...
My old engine support bar that I thought I'd never use again came in handy when I needed something to support the engine so I can remove the crossmember to clean it and replace the engine mounts.
Draining the power steering fluid so I could remove the rack while attached to the crossmember didn't go as planned, so I had to abort and support the crossmember with a jack stand.
A few more fun pictures of my current situation:
These axles are shot.
Parts scattered everywhere under my car. I'll never get this thing back together....
