Well, I've had lots of 911s of varying models, and still have two longhoods today (one original viper green 1972 911T coupe for sale now in California). I had a 1974 911S Targa once, which I guess is the closest thing to the Carrera, so I at least have a clue about the 911. I have never driven a 914, and definitely not a 914/6, though. So I have no clue about that. If I have a chance to drive one, I will. Good luck with that, eh?

Regarding VW, weren't the 914/6s built along side the normal 914 by VW and just sent to Porsche to finish? Wouldn't that make the whole chassis and interior VW, with Porsche adding the old 2.0 liter 911 engine to it? I drive a VW every day, so I mean no disrespect...

Does anyone know of a 1972 model 914/6 for sale anywhere. An earlier one?
