I think the 911 Targa will continue to grow in popularity relative to coupes as the cars get older. Why? They cease being track toys and become weekend cruisers. Look at how 356 prices changed over time. As they aged, the Cabriolets started out as the "red headed stepchild" but now are the queen of the ball.

Good point... When the older 911s become questionable as a track day car, targas will probably see an uptick in relative value.
